Lumecca – a powerful flash of light for smooth and healthy skin
A modern method for removing redness, dilated capillaries and pigment spots as well as for rejuvenating the skin.
About the Treatment
Lumecca is a modern IPL device that stands out for its special performance and incredible efficiency in solving a variety of skin problems.
What is worth knowing about Lumecca IPL?
Lumecca stands out from other IPL devices with its incredible power. This device is able to generate very high peak power in the most important 500-600 nm range, which is extremely well absorbed by both melanin and hemoglobin. Due to this feature, Lumecca is not inferior to lasers in its results, but has all the advantages of IPL.
Lumecca procedures are suitable for all areas of the body where you want more beautiful, smoother, brighter skin, but are usually performed where the sun damage is most pronounced: face, neck, cleavage, hands.
The number of procedures depends on the problem to be solved and the desired result. Most often, clients notice an improvement a few weeks after the first procedure, but the final results may require more visits (usually 3, performed monthly, but the exact number of treatments may be higher, depending on how old the problem is). It has been noticed that when removing pigment spots, the course of procedures is often shorter, while removing capillaries requires more procedures. The most beautiful results appear within a few weeks after the last procedure.
During the course of Lumecca, it is extremely important to avoid UV rays, so do not burn in the sun or solarium, do not use self-tanning products for at least a month before and after each treatment. It is also necessary to use protective creams with SPF50. Avoid applying strong creams to the skin for a few days before the procedure.
It is also necessary to provide the specialist performing the procedure with detailed information about your state of health, medications and food supplements, bad habits, allergies, used cosmetics and other important data. Some medications may need to be stopped 1-2 weeks before the procedure.
Before the procedure, the skin is cleaned, makeup residues and excess skin fat are removed. If necessary, the hair at the site of the procedure can be shaved. During the procedure, clients usually feel a light shock, like being slapped by a stretched rubber band. After the procedure, the skin may be swollen and reddened. Immediately after the procedure, you can apply the cream recommended by the specialist to the skin. Later, within 1-2 days, pigment spots may darken. Such darkening lasts for 1-2 weeks, after which the spots seem to peel off and the skin becomes fresher, smoother in color. Within a few days after the procedure, the redness begins to lighten, and the surface dilated capillaries gradually disappear.
Some skin changes (e.g. melasma) have an unpredictable course, depending on the hormonal balance and general state of health, so it is sometimes impossible to predict the final result.
Yes! By combining different procedures, using different mechanisms of action, the results are even more pronounced and last even longer. Lumecca goes well with radiofrequency procedures (Morpheus8, Secret RF, EMFACE), injections (succinic acid, fillers), and in some cases even medical treatment. And where else are correctly selected cosmetology procedures and skin care products at home! Our specialists will draw up the most suitable individual plan for solving the problem and advise on the sequence and periodicity of the procedures.
Improved skin quality, smoother color, and reduced redness can last for a year, and often more. The durability of the results depends on lifestyle, sun exposure habits, general health and other factors. Over time, new pigment spots appear, other capillaries expand, natural aging processes occur, and the procedure may need to be repeated.
Like most other beauty procedures, Lumecca is not suitable for pregnant women, nursing mothers, those with cancer and some other diseases, taking certain medications or food supplements, tanning or using self-tanners. There are times when Lumecca may not be suitable for solving a specific problem, then the specialist can make a different plan and suggest alternative ways to achieve the best result. Lumecca is not performed in the tattoo or permanent makeup area. During the procedure, the hair in its area can be eliminated, so it is not performed on hairy areas of the body (such as a man’s beard).
After the procedure, the skin is typically red and swollen. These symptoms usually go away within a few hours, and in rare cases, a few days. Sometimes there are bruises, which usually resorb within 1-2 weeks. In rare cases, changes in pigmentation may occur. In order to protect yourself from complications as much as possible, it is necessary to avoid UV rays, warn the specialist about your health condition before the procedure and strictly follow the specialist’s recommendations.
