Why choose our HIFU technology?
What is HIFU?
HIFU is an acronym for ‘high-intensity focused ultrasound’. This is exactly how the new HIFU works: it tightens facial skin in a non-surgical way, promotes collagen regeneration and rejuvenation or, if appropriate and necessary, fat reduction in certain areas such as the neck.
What should you know about HIFU?
The HIFU procedure does not require any special preparation, but attention should be paid to combining this procedure with others. HIFU can be performed:
– at least 2 weeks after botulinum toxin injections;
– at least 2 weeks after intensive cosmetic procedures, acids;
– at least 2 weeks after PRP, biorevitalisation, or other moisturising procedures;
– at least 4 weeks after laser procedures.
– 4-6 months after hyaluronic acid filler injections;
3-4 weeks should pass after the HIFU procedure in order to use it with other services.
Not really. Recently, the HIFU procedure has become very popular, so “specialists” began to provide it not only without medical education, but also with devices of dubious quality. That is why reviews of the HIFU procedure on the Internet are very mixed. What to pay attention to when choosing HIFU:
- pay attention to whether the HIFU device is really medical. There are plenty of cosmetic devices, but these are not powerful and are usually ineffective;
- find out who will be performing the procedure. To ensure the client’s safety and maximum result, it should only be performed by a doctor.
Immediately after the procedure, you will notice that the skin has become tighter, but over time, the results will noticeably improve. The maximum improvement is observed in 2-3 months, but it may take up to 12 months to achieve the final result. The results are long-lasting, but also depend on the individual characteristics of the body and aging processes.
How many procedures are needed?
Usually 1-2 procedures are enough to achieve results, but the number of procedures depends on the condition of the skin, the problem area, and individual characteristics.
At REVÙ CLINIC, the HIFU procedure is performed with a modern medical device, the Jeisys ULTRACEL Q+. This is the first and so far the only HIFU device in the world that, in addition to the conventional dot cartridge, also has linear technology, which allows the procedure to be effectively applied to various parts of the body (it is extremely widely applicable if you need to reduce fat deposits) and to perform the procedure extremely quickly.
In addition, the ULTRACEL Q+ procedure is significantly faster (300 pulses in 3 minutes) and less painful compared to other HIFU devices.
With ULTRACEL Q+, it is possible to set the depth of the procedure very precisely; you can choose from as many as 14 applicators from 1.5 to 13 mm.
Although extremely effective, the HIFU procedure is not suitable for everyone, so the treatment always begins with a doctor’s consultation and drawing up an individual beauty plan. The HIFU procedure is performed by selecting a special applicator (cartridge) depending on the depth we want to target. Later, a special gel is applied, the applicator is attached, and the procedure is performed. After the procedure, the skin may be slightly red, more sensitive, but these symptoms do not last long. After the procedure, you can immediately return to your normal daily routine.
The HIFU procedure is not suitable for pregnant women, as well as patients with oncological, various autoimmune, connective tissue, and other chronic diseases. It is recommended to postpone the procedure if you have active acne, rosacea, infectious skin diseases, and skin damage at the target area. The procedure cannot be performed if the target area has metal implants (except for dental implants).
The success and efficiency of HIFU depend on the individual characteristics of the body, but quality equipment and the specialist’s knowledge and experience are equally important. Therefore, when choosing a HIFU procedure, it is important to pay attention to the doctor’s qualifications, the device (medical or cosmetic), and whether the procedure is performed in a licensed clinic.
Redness, swelling, tingling, or soreness of the skin may occur immediately after the procedure. These symptoms are temporary. More dangerous but rare complications are damage to nerves and other structures, reduction of adipose tissue.
The HIFU procedure is basically compatible with all other aesthetic services: laser procedures, injections, and cosmetology procedures. After the initial consultation, the doctor will draw up a beauty plan based on the client’s expectations and the current condition of the tissues.
